WHY MARXISM IS WRONG FOR AMERICA

Observing Obama these last few months is like watching a slo-mo movie of a train wreck in progress. His attempt to force a free people into a socialist steam kettle will fail.  The mounting pressure will explode when he tries to cram his health care system down our throats.  Liberals, deluded into thinking that all people yearn to have equal social and economic status, believe that their fellow Americans have the same thoughts.  While once true of Europeans under the yoke of the aristocracy — that harboring dreams of social and economic equality were futile — Americans have no aristocracy holding them down.

In those bad old days, if not born a blue blood, you would never know any other life than that of a serf, not worthy of more than a swift kick if you did not move out of the way.  As a commoner, you had no hope of improving your station in life. The aristocracy, far removed from the problems of having to earn a living, or even having to do anything for themselves, gave little or no thought to the poor.  With their elevated social status never open to question, they could literally get away with murder.  Under these awful conditions, Marx’s theory of class envy would hold water.  In that day and age, it would be easy to see how his ideas would catch on.  But in America, his ideas of one class lording it over another does not apply.

It’s true that we have an upper class “royalty” in America, but one that we have created for ourselves and, for a time, unique only to us.  Now the rest of the world has its own upper class of “royalty” with their rock stars, movie stars, certain politicians, and sports heroes.  It’s a pseudo-society that moves in its own orbits and has its own particular set of demons to deal with.  However, one social slip-up (drug use, adultery, drunkenness), and all status of “royalty” is stripped away.  Conversely, with the European and Middle Eastern upper crust, debauchery rules. In America, you can lose your upper crust status, but not so for most of the world.  All the more reason why I insist that Marxism has no place in American society.

And then we have the old-time “Robber Barons” like Vanderbilt, Astor, Carnegie, and Cooke.

The term “Robber Barons”, coined during the Great Depression, referred to highly successful industrialists and bankers who may or may not have used questionable methods to get rich.  Liberals demonized successful businessmen during past hard economic times, just as they delight in demonizing them today.  In the 1920’s and 30’s the rich didn’t mind open displays of wealth, however, since the Great Depression, the very rich have made it a point to subdue any display of their good fortune.  Bill Gates, a very successful businessman, and considered a “Robber Baron” by some of his less successful competitors, does not flaunt his wealth in public; in fact, his generosity and support of many worthy causes gives more actual aid and comfort to the poor than all government programs combined.

You will notice, by contrast, that rich liberal politicians hold on tight to their purse strings, and give, by way of comparison, small change to charities.  And then we have people like Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama who actually enjoy flaunting their exalted positions and their obvious wealth in the public’s face.  Google any of the rich liberals names for their charitable donations.  I’m not pointing fingers, just making an objective, documented observation that rich, ill-mannered liberal politicians exhibit undesirable low-class traits.   As examples of their excesses I refer to Pelosi’s private 757 airliner for her exclusive use for her weekly commutes to her home in California (imagine that carbon footprint), and to the recent obscene European shopping spree of the Obama’s.  Google “Michelle’s sneakers” to check out her $540.00 shoes.  Google “Nancy Pelosi Jet.”  Google “Obamas Shopping in Europe.”

Marx detested the very same values that contemporary rich liberal politicians delight in.  Obama uses Marxism as a way to create false class envy, to pit one class against another, to wrest power from the present government (of, by, and for the people), and to create his own Utopian kingdom where he alone dictates to the people of his domain.  He has the ability to do it too.

America is the land of the free, and the home of the brave; the land where personal initiative and the freedom to put your ideas to the test makes life worth living.  If you fail the first time, you pick yourself up and you figure out what went wrong, and you bravely try again.  If you want to dream big, nobody can hold you down. Obama is a prime example of that truism.  Yet we teeter on the brink of losing it all by allowing ourselves the luxury of staying home on election days.  We cannot afford to let those who prefer government dominion over their lives to vote away our unalienable, God-given rights and freedoms.  We are an endangered species and nobody will save us but ourselves.

It simply takes the majority of Americans (and illegals) to vote themselves a government that gives them everything for free and eliminates personal responsibility.  When they accomplish this goal, then Obama will have your souls, your minds, and your bodies to do with as he pleases.  God help us when the inevitable revolution explodes.
