Rather than think about the problem in a logical manner, he believes his feelings are all that matters. If it makes him feel good to talk to the devil himself, he'll do it without thinking of the consequences. He is living proof that liberalism is a mental disorder. He continues to believe that Hamas will be honorable and willing to negotiate in an honest and forthright manner, even though they have demonstrated time and again they have no such intentions. This is the classic definition of insanity.
These people understand that Carter is nothing more than a useful idiot and are using him like a rented mule. The distressing part of all this --- there are people out there who actually believe Carter is a wise man who can bring peace to the world. Nothing could be further from the truth. He is encouraging these animals to continue to fight because they see America as weak so long as we can be tricked into negotiating. They must be beaten in battle and they must be forced to cry UNCLE! That is how we gain their respect and obedience. Anything else is whistling past the graveyard.
